This end-to-end CDD/EDD program provides a complete walkthrough of customer due diligence processes, from initial onboarding through ongoing monitoring and periodic reviews. Participants will explore identification and verification standards, screening requirements, and how to detect key red flags during the onboarding phase. The course explains different customer risk rating methodologies and demonstrates how institutions can categorize customers based on sector, geography, product usage, and behavioral patterns. A significant portion of the training focuses on high-risk indicators such as PEP exposure, complex ownership structures, offshore centers, and unusual sources of funds. Practical guidance is provided on how to document and verify source of wealth and source of funds, and how to escalate concerns through EDD triggers. The course concludes with detailed guidance on ongoing monitoring, review cycles, and the maintenance of robust, defensible KYC files that satisfy regulatory expectations.
